If you spend hours in front of a monitor, you've probably felt that familiar eye strain by day's end. The contrast between your bright screen and dark surroundings forces your eyes to work harder than they should. A good monitor light can change that—not just by making your desk brighter, but by creating a more balanced visual environment that lets your eyes relax.
Lighting Designed for Screen Work
The BenQ ScreenBar Halo 2 approaches monitor lighting differently than a traditional desk lamp. Its dual-light system includes a backlight that softens the contrast between your screen and surroundings, plus a precision front light angled at 18° to illuminate your desk without reflecting on your monitor or glaring into your eyes. This thoughtful design means you get better visibility without the eye fatigue that comes from glare.
The light uses high color rendering (CRI > 95), so if you work with photos, design, or color-sensitive tasks, the colors you see remain accurate. It's also flicker-free and blue-light-hazard-free, addressing common culprits behind digital eye strain.
Customization and Smart Features
- Wireless controller: Adjust brightness and color temperature (2700K–6500K) with an intuitive dial, with a built-in display showing your exact settings
- Adaptive lighting: The bar automatically turns on and off with your monitor, adjusts brightness based on ambient light, and remembers your favorite settings
- Wide compatibility: The clamp securely fits monitors up to 2.36 inches thick and supports curved displays up to 1800R, without damaging your screen
